Amiel Segal specializes in working with children and adults with severe behavior disorders. He is a New York State licensed school psychologist with over 30 years experience who has worked in public and private schools, residential programs, home environments, and clinics. He is able to reach students considered unworkable using time-tested strategies focusing on helping them reduce anger and oppositional defiant outbursts by establishing necessary coping skills that minimize their anxieties and fears. He provides gentle but firm, non-physical structured behavioral programs offering an abundance of interest and positive feedback. He has extensive experience with children with Oppositional-Defiant Disorder, Autism Spectrum (ASD), Bipolar Disorder, and Attention Deficit Disorder.
